We are seeking a skilled, hands-on IT Technician with strong experience across Microsoft environments, networking, and client support. This is a client-facing role — both onsite and remote — within an SLA-driven support environment. The wide salary band is real: where you land in it depends on how much of the "highly recommended" list below you bring.
THE ROLE
- Provide remote and onsite support to clients
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, server, Active Directory, network and connectivity issues
- Configure and maintain servers, domain environments, and network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Manage user environments, permissions, and security
- Perform installations, upgrades, and migrations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in IT technical support (MSP experience advantageous)
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Solid networking: switching (VLANs, trunking, STP), routing (NAT, static routes), firewall exposure (Fortigate, Sophos, MikroTik advantageous)
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (this is what moves you up the salary band)
- Microsoft 365 advanced: Exchange Online (mail flow, SPF/DKIM/DMARC), SharePoint & OneDrive admin, Teams support
- Azure / Entra ID: Azure AD Connect, MFA, Conditional Access
- Virtualization: Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Backup solutions: Veeam, Acronis, or cloud backups
- Practical networking: VPN setup (IPSec, SSL VPN), WAN troubleshooting (PPPoE, fibre, LTE failover)
- VoIP: Yeastar, 3CX, SIP troubleshooting
- Security: endpoint protection and firewall policies
- RMM & ticketing: NinjaOne, Datto, Zoho Desk or similar
